is an award-winning screenwriter, filmmaker, actor, and professor who specializes in genre filmmaking and screenwriting.

His feature screenplay “LOUIS & PUCK” (co-written with his filmmaking partner, William Cowser) was recently honored as the recipient of the Bronze Typewriter Award in the Sci-Fi Feature Screenplay category at the 2026 Austin Film Festival, placing as one of 21 winning screenplays out of over 12,500 submissions, as well as being a Semifinalist in the Comedy Feature category (top 2%). Additionally, his feature screenplay “THE CROSSING” was selected as a Second Rounder in the Drama Feature category, placing in the top 25%. His work has been selected by and screened at festivals around the world including Film Fest Knox, FilmQuest, HorrorFest International, Fear No Film Festival, and DaveyFest.

Parker has a lifelong love for education, having experience teaching courses in directing, screenwriting, editing, film history, production, adaptation studies, and film theory. He is currently a full-time faculty member at Pellissippi State Community College in the Video Production Technology Program, as well as an adjunct professor at Utah Tech University, College of DuPage, and Southern Utah University.

His passion for film education was demonstrated in his role as the Faculty Program Director for the University of Utah Department of Film and Media Arts study abroad program in Italy. While there, he designed and executed a curriculum for a four-week Introduction to Film Production course, during which he guided nearly a dozen undergraduate students through the complete production process from the preliminary planning stages through to completed edits of their final films.

He earned his MFA in Film & Media Arts at the University of Utah where he studied screenwriting, directing, and film production. During his time there he and his directing partner, William Cowser (under the moniker The Aud Brothers), wrote, directed, and produced more than a dozen short films over the course of three years.
